I’m a Certified Nutrition Specialist (CNS), Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist (LDN), and functional medicine provider. Unlike many other professionals in this industry, functional nutrition is a second career path of mine. I started in the fashion merchandising space where I worked for many years as a footwear buyer. I loved the job at first, but ultimately grew dissatisfied with the long work weeks, endless amount of stress, and unhealthy work/life balance. I was overworking, undereating, and doing a terrible job at taking care of myself. I got diagnosed with hashimotos in 2015 and soon began to realize I needed to rethink my path. I always had a passion for nutrition and cooking and decided to start a healthy cooking blog. I noticed how much better I felt when I was eating nourishing foods and also how happy I felt educating people on ways to eat more nutritiously. It wasn’t long after that I realized I wanted to pursue a career in nutrition. I graduated in 2019 from Maryland University of Integrative Health with a Masters of Science in Nutrition and Integrative Health. My own healing led me to wanting to work with women and help them find ways to nourish themselves from the inside out. My specialties now include all things women’s health from thyroid to reproductive health, to gut health and skin health. Like many of you reading this, I am a working mama, and I know how hard it is to prioritize your own health when caring for others. I can promise you though, that once you start showing yourself the same love and compassion you show your kiddos, you will absolutely never look back.
On a personal note, I am a mama to two of the most precious kiddos, Oliver (6) and Zoey (3). I love the beach, sushi, dark chocolate, ballet barre classes, and cooking and baking in my kitchen. I am an east coast girly- originally from Philadelphia and now live just outside of Boston. I am so excited to get to know you!

When I received the Hashimoto's diagnosis that was to change huge pieces of my life, I felt overwhelmed and lost with all of the information on the internet, and even by professionals. The program that Nicole started me on with Chews Food Wisely gave me confidence and direction immediately. I received factual, scientific information but also hands on, day to day practical guidance about my body and diet. This has been a journey that takes more than one conversation with a doctor, more than my own research. They have walked hand in hand with me, and I have loved my sessions with Emily! She's given me such practical advice on nutrition, recipes, hacks for snacks, travel and also confidence that has eased my stress about this new chapter of my life. Thank you!

Emily was wonderful to work with! She provided clear, helpful insights into my bloodwork and offered practical advice on making better choices and creating a more balanced diet. Her product recommendations were fantastic—I’ve even added them to my weekly grocery shopping. After every call with Emily, I felt encouraged and motivated. She did an excellent job of highlighting my wins and showing me the progress I’m making. Highly recommend!

To say I am thankful for Nicole and Emily is an understatement. Working with Chews Food Wisely has totally changed my life.
When I started working with Emily, my primary goal was to know what it felt like to feel good. I couldn't recall a time during which I wasn't in pain or super tired or brain foggy at all throughout my whole life. By the time I started working with Emily, all that was just my normal. I had tried a bunch of things, too, including elimination diets and supplements that didn't really do much for me. I was down to maybe a few foods that I could eat without feeling bloated and awful, and even that list was rapidly dwindling.
I had also just pulled out of my second marathon training block because my body was just too tired to train and I felt like I was running through mud every single time I went out.
Emily helped me identify a stomach infection, and several really low or borderline low levels on my bloodwork. She gave me a really clear protocol to follow and our check-ins were so useful. I feel better than I ever have and am able to eat pretty much anything without assuming that I'll be bloated and feel exhausted after. I was able to go eat at a restaurant and leave feeling normal; not like I needed to go lie down or change into Thanksgiving pants. You really don't realize how restricted your life is until you have it back.
Thank you to Nicole and Emily. You are both amazing!

At 1.5 years postpartum, I was at my heaviest weight ever and beyond exhausted. My doctor discovered thyroid issues, however, the medicine really wasn’t helping. I already struggled with PCOS symptoms, and now thyroid. I was at my wits end, and thankfully Nicole was there to help guide me to healing! During our first call, I got emotional because I was so overwhelmed by my symptoms, and Nicole was beyond genuine. She has been so compassionate and supportive, while also providing that tough love that’s needed!
I have lost weight, worked on blood sugar balance, and learned what to eat that makes me feel GREAT! I highly recommend Chews Food Wisely!

I had been following Nicole for a long time before I finally took the jump and signed up for her program. I am so grateful that I did! She and Emily are both so incredibly compassionate and understanding to what women with thyroid and hormonal disorders are going through. The support and communication was exactly what I needed to push myself to make changes, and the guidance provided is something I will forever value. It was a great program, worth every penny, and provided me with the tools and confidence to make good food choices, but also to improve my relationship with food. I will be forever grateful for this program!

I started Chews Food Wisely back in May, and it has truly changed my life! I went from being bloated and having indigestion everyday, to eating good whole foods and not feeling bad at all! Emily & Nicole both got to the root of the problem, and rather than prescribing medications like every other doctor, they helped fix what was actually wrong! So thankful for them both! & so excited to feel better again!

I am just finishing up 4 months of working with Emily and Nicole and can’t recommend them enough! Emily took time to learn my symptoms and obstacles and tailor a plan for me. In just a short few months I’ve seen significant changes in blood work, digestion, and weight loss. On top of this I am feeling so confident moving forward and know that they will be there for me if I need them again in the future. I am genuinely sad our time is coming to an end!!

I had the pleasure to work with Nicole and her amazing partner Emily, and I can confidently say they have exceeded my expectations in every way. Every meeting felt like I was talking to a friend where I was encouraging in everything I did. They took the time to understand my goals, concerns, past experiences, and very picky eating life style, to make sure I was set up for success. Thanks to their help, I’ve seen improvements with energy levels, digestion, weight loss, and even joy to be eating high nutrient foods.
I strongly recommend Chews Food Wisely to anyone who is looking for expertise guidance, and genuine care from people who grow to become your friends.

Very good experience with Emily and Nicole. Knowledgeable not only of nutrition but of appropriate supplements. They work with the client hand in hand, and offer different strategies to reach the goals. My first concern when I came to them was very low energy and weight gain. After three months of work, my energy is back again and progressing steadily towards the weight gain. Very happy about the experience!
